Poker is a card game in which the objective is to make the best hand possible by using all of your cards. You play until the other players have all dropped out. In the end, the person with the best hand wins the pot, which is the total amount of money bet during the hand. In case of a draw, the pot is split evenly between the players.

All-in bet

In poker, an all-in bet occurs when a player places all of their chips in a single bet. This is a common practice among advanced players, who sometimes make this type of bet to create pressure on their opponents.

Big blind

The big blind is the mandatory bet made in poker, if there is no ante in the game. It is posted by the player to the left of the dealer button. The small blind is typically half the size of the big blind. The dealer button is then moved clockwise around the poker table. After the big blind has been paid by all players, the dealer will place the small blind.

Straight flush

In poker, the Straight flush is one of the most powerful hands. A Straight Flush is made up of five cards of the same suit. The highest possible straight flush is an Ace high straight flush, also known as a royal flush.

Backdoor flush

A backdoor flush is a poker hand in which a player’s cards on the turn and river are the same. This hand is also called the nuts and is the best hand a player can have. A pair of sevens is a good example of a backdoor flush.

Hold’em

In Hold’em poker, the player with the best five-card poker hand wins the pot. If two players have identical hands, their chips are divided equally. The suits of the cards do not matter, as long as they are all the same value.
