Entertaiment | Articles
Something affording pleasure or diversion, such as a performance, game, or amusement: entertainment for the guests at a ball.
An entertaining activity refreshes one’s mental and emotional health and preserves a sense of balance. It can involve socializing, learning, or simply a pleasant distraction from mundane tasks and responsibilities. As society’s needs change, so do the forms of entertainment; for example, activities such as hunting and war have been transformed into spectator sports or global competition. Some activities that are considered to be entertainment may also serve a more serious purpose, such as rituals, ceremonies, religious festivals, or satire.
